Woodsong- See our handcrafted door harps (a special gift for a special occasion) as well as our musical furniture and musical instruments.
Hi, I'm Pete Isacowitz. Welcome to Woodsong, where you'll find handcrafted door harps, didgeridoos (a traditional Aboriginal wind instrument), Celtic harps, marimbas, musical tables and musical sculptures, which I build at my studio in Rosh Pina, in the Upper Galilee, Israel.
Click here to watch an interview with Pete and Maya on Israel, Channel 10 News.
I have a wide variety of door harps, whose gentle chimes will fill your home with good vibrations. These door harps include the King David's door harp and the Hamsa door harp (a traditional Jewish and Middle Eastern symbol of protection). Take a virtual tour of our door harps, musical furniture and musical instruments.
It has come to our notice over the past year that there are certain shops selling door harps, and claiming that they have been hand-made by Woodsong, in Rosh Pina. Please note that all Woodsong door harps have the Woodsong logo on the back, and are personally signed by Pete Isacowitz, guaranteeing our usual high quality. Any door harp which does not have the Woodsong sticker, and Pete's signature is not a Woodsong door harp.
I hope you enjoy the tracks from our CD, "Woodsong". It includes the sounds of the door harp and musical sculptures, as well as me and my daughter, Maya, singing and playing on all the musical instruments: the marimbas, Celtic harp, didgeridoos, slide-didge, kalimbas, guitar and harmonica.
There are sample tracks from the CD throughout our website. Have patience- the sound takes a few seconds to download.
Recent research, reported in the British Medical Journal and other scientific publications (PubMed, Science Daily), as well as the Apnea Support Forum shows that playing the didgeridoo helps reduce snoring and relieves sleep apnea.
